Keeping Your Account Secure
Markets Trading offers a secure and transparent trading environment and these are the steps we take in order to ensure your personal information is safe.
At Markets Trading, we strive to ensure that you are always able to deposit funds, withdraw and to trade easily within a secure and transparent environment, where the safety of your personal information and trading balance are assured.
User Identity Verification
When you first deposit funds into your Markets Trading account, you will also need to provide our Compliance department with your identification verification documents. Without this documentation, you will not be able to make a withdrawal. The following documentation is required:
- A color copy of your government issued identification card, driver’s license or passport, both the front and back of the document.
- A copy of both sides of the credit card used to make a deposit.*
- A recent (not older than 3 months) utility bill or bank statement to confirm your current residential address.
- Signed confirmation and approval of all transactions made with Markets Trading.
You can upload these documents directly from your Markets Trading account, or send them by mail to the following address: firstname.lastname@example.org
* Credit Card Verification
If you deposit your funds by credit or debit card, we require that you scan and send us a copy of the card. Although you can deposit funds with an unverified card, you have to send the scan before you request your first withdrawal to the card. For your security, the scan should have the CVV number concealed, with only the last 4 digits of the card number visible. Please ensure that all sent copies are clear and visible.
In order to ensure that the deposit of funds into your account is seamless and to guarantee that your financial and personal information are safe, we use a platform with the highest level of SSL encryption. SSL is an abbreviation for Secure Sockets Layer, which is a method of securing our website and trading platform when storing and transmitting sensitive information, such as traders’ names, addresses, phone numbers and credit card numbers. SSL creates an encrypted connection between your computer or mobile device’s browser and our servers. This ensures that all your information remains private and that communications cannot be intercepted by hackers.
Prevention of Money Laundering
Money laundering enables the movement of illicit funds from criminal activities and makes them potentially available for illegal and terrorist activity. As a result, Markets Trading is committed to preventing money laundering and we do this by implementing a variety of procedures:
- Our client identification and verification procedures are handled via third-party data providers.
- We regularly monitor and report any suspicious transactions.
- The Markets Trading employees are all fully trained to recognize and prevent illicit financial transactions.
In our commitment to preventing any form of money laundering, Markets Trading reserves the right to request additional information and forms of identification, if required. In addition, we reserve the right to refuse to process a transfer at any point if we believe that the funds are related to the criminal activity of money laundering in any way.
How You Can Help Secure your Account
Your Markets Trading account is private; in the same way you would not give out your bank details, you should never share your trading platform login details with anyone. You should always log out of the trading platform when your session is done. If your device has a ‘save your password’ feature, disable it to ensure that unauthorized people do not log in to your account. Although remembering and entering passwords several times a day can be a hassle, the security and safety from accidental logins is worth the trouble.
and to take control of your financial destiny.
